Fishing teams of two nymphs continues to prove a great tactic at the moment with boat fisherman fishing mini lures deep also proving successful.  Regular rod Steve Godman landed a fantastic blue trout on a small snake fly fished slow and deep from the boat.  There are a good head of blue trout in Haywards Farm Lake and they really do fight well, they are very easy to spot which can make them tricky to catch but persistence is often rewarded.

The yellow tagged blue trout was seen again this week but still remains uncaught, it will be a brilliant windfall for the person who manages to finally catch it!
