Haywards Farm Lake became a sheet of ice this week and therefore fishing was short lived, however before the ice came Cats Whiskers, Vivas, Blobs and Tadpoles were catching well despite the cold conditions. Orange fritz, blue flash damsels, cat’s whiskers and buzzers all scoring. Fish of the week a 10lb brown, with several fish in the 6 to 9lb range showing.
The fantastic winter fishing continues with a lake record brown trout of 10lb 6oz caught by Bill Nash the highlight of the week. A variety of patterns have scored but orange fritz dragonflies and blue flash damsels are catching a lot of fish, along with the ever-reliable cat’s whisker.
Cat’s whiskers, dog nobblers, blobs, daddies, hot heads and orange fritz patterns all scoring well in another productive week on the lake.
