Some anglers have struggled from the bank particularly in the bright sunshine but those on the boats have had bags up into the 20s including a fabulous brown for regular John Combe which was safely returned. Plenty of surface activity on the lake and great hatches of buzzers. Nymphs have really been doing the damage with the usual suspects catching, damsels, diawl bachs, hares ears and buzzers taking a lot of the fish. Boats have been fishing well particularly in the evenings.
Notes
The first week after the clocks have changed have seen anglers staying on much later in the day and taking advantage of the buzzer hatches and prolific evening rises.
