Week ending 14th January 2018

Notes

Fishing has been excellent this week with Paul Edwards catching a phenomenal  22 rainbows weighing up to 4lb, 1 brown and 1 golden trout weighing 5lb, with the majority of his fish falling to a static buzzer.  As well as buzzers and damsels small orange and white lures are also fishing well.

Notes

This week fish have been caught on a variety of methods with snakes, blobs and buzzers being most successful. The heavy rain has been greatly welcomed and the lakes have received a good top up of water.

Notes

Buzzers fished static, just a couple of feet under the surface have been exceptionally successful this week with roving anglers certainly having the most success.

The last week has seen the temperature fluctuate from below freezing to actually quite warm, but even when freezing the sun has warmed  anglers up, especially on the northern bank. Week ending 3rd December 2017

Notes

This week saw the success of the Viva. This fly looks nothing like the Vauxhall model it was named after, but its’ black and green pattern tempted many fish from under trees, or in the weed. Cats whiskers proved to be successful off the bank.
