FISHING REPORT: 24/01/22
Last week was another chilly one with some really cold overnight temperatures that got as low as -5. Daytime temperatures at times weren’t that much higher, but thankfully it has been pretty still so the windchill factor wasn’t that bad.
The anglers that did brave the cold had some great sport and the best bag was 12 fish for one of our regulars. As well as several good bags, some real specimen fish were landed too with two notable fish going 8lb 8oz and 10lb with plenty in the 3-5lb bracket.
Fish have been aggressively hitting lures with black snakes and orange blobs proving to be the most deadly methods, but those fishing with nymphs have also had plenty of action. Hothead damsels, buzzers and hares ears have produced plenty of fish all over the lake.
