Notes
It was another warm week on the fishery with plenty of flies hatching all over. Caddis, damsels, buzzers and plenty of mayfly have been coming off all week with late dun hatches occurring in large numbers in the evening. The fish have certainly been taking advantage with lots of surface activity.
Naturals continue to take the lion’s share of the fish with nymphs and dries working best. Some anglers have persisted with mini lures on intermediate lines and have had some success with some cracking fish being landed in excellent condition. Don’t forget that evening C&R tickets start from 5pm and, along with catch and kill tickets, must be purchased from the shop before the store closes at 5.30pm. Anglers will be able to fish on until dusk and the automatic gates will allow you out when you have finished. With the warm daytime temperatures, anglers have reported some great evening sport that simply shouldn’t be missed.
