Notes
Last week was another largely warm one, but we did at times have a rather chilly wind alongside. Water temperatures have remained steady with no further rises this week and, with that, the fish have stayed happy and feeding heavily on naturals.
Buzzers continue to hatch along with the damsels which are now starting to come off in bigger numbers and will continue to get larger over the next few weeks, especially with the forecast ahead. Floating lines and long leaders have worked well and plenty of success has come to the dry fly with shuttlecocks and Bob’s Bits doing well.
Please make sure that, if you are fishing on very sunny days, you put plenty of sun protection on as several visiting anglers this week were visibly burnt! Evening fishing will really come into its own so don’t forget that the fishery is now open until dusk as long as you purchase a ticket from the shop before 5.30pm.
