Another fantastic week of weather saw plenty of surface activity all over the fishery. Some very mild conditions for the time of year kept the fish feeding hard and anglers had some fantastic bags with several into the teens.

Along with great catch rates, plenty of big fish made an appearance too with 3 doubles being landed and released along with a good number of 4-7lbers. Fish have stayed high in the water and floating lines, sink tips and intermediates have been the lines of choice.

Humungous, snakes, Cat’s Whiskers and various nymphs have been the most popular fly patterns but one or two fish have still fallen to dry fly with small black patterns being best. The fishery and shop will be closed at times over the festive period so please check out our opening times.
