Haywards Farm Lake is reopening on Sunday October 7th 2018 as the water temperature is now dropping rapidly, oxygen concentration is increasing, and we have no fish welfare concerns.
As demand on opening day is likely to be high, fishing will be available to the first 20 anglers who book in advance, either in-store or by telephone on: 0118 930 3860.
There is a one fish ticket minimum with C&R thereafter. Fishing starts at 10.30 am and finishes 5.30pm. Bank fishing only, normal fishery rules apply.
The previous tagged prize trout, which was was regularly seen, but not caught, is now presumed dead so the old yellow tag will be null and void from reopening day. It will be replaced by TWO new prize tags, each of the tagged fish being worth £750 to the lucky captor, so come along, enjoy some great fishing and maybe, just maybe, go home a little bit richer!
